Energizer Volunteer Fitness Leader
Description: As a volunteer fitness leader, you play a vital role in maintaining member satisfaction by encouraging a positive lifestyle, promoting programs and services, maintaining communication with staff, the members and other volunteers as well. This role involves successful leadership of a safe and educational fitness class at The Energizer.
Investment:
- Completion of the AFLCA Fitness Leadership Theory Course, and an AFLCA Specialty Course, as well as subsequent completion of the AFLCA Certification (completion of one provincial and one national exam, practical observation).
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Maintain Insurance Policy
- Attend scheduled meetings/training sessions related to the volunteer position
Benefits:
- All active volunteers Fitness Leaders will receive a free Energizer Membership
- Active volunteers will be entitled to use of a rental locker
- All volunteers will receive recognition from The Energizer Board of Directors on an annual basis. This recognition will be tied into National Volunteer month in April.
Energizer Board Member
Description: There are eight positions on The Energizer Board of Directors. Currently, all positions are filled. There is an annual general meeting held every year where board member positions are open for change.
Benefits:
- All active volunteers will receive recognition from The Energizer Board of Directors on an annual basis. This recognition will be tied into National Volunteer month in April.
Energizer Front Desk Volunteer
Description: An Energizer Volunteer working the front desk typically involves supervision of the centre while a staff member is busy instructing a noon-hour fitness class. You will be responsible for assisting members with any questions they may have, as well as process new member application agreements.
Benefits:
- All active volunteers will receive recognition from The Energizer Board of Directors on an annual basis. This recognition will be tied into National Volunteer month in April.
